About the Book

Oh, to be a ballerina! It's a challenge for any little girl, but even more so if you happen to be a vampire like Vampirina. First of all, you have to find a class that meets at night. Then you have to figure out how to perfect your form when you can't see yourself in the mirror? And then there's wearing pink (not the most flattering of colors if you happen to be undead) and that nagging urge to take a little nip out of the other dancers. And worse of all STAGE FRIGHT!!!

My Take on the Book
This was such a fun book. While she may not be the ballerina that you would expect to see, this ballerina has a ton of heart for a Vampire. She tries so hard to be a ballerina and even though she does not always fit in, she tries hard. The book has a great message about perseverance and determination - showing you that if you put in a lot of effort you can and will achieve your dream.

The book has a ton of images throughout that were well made and really make the story and characters stand out.

The book was a quick read but a fun one that I loved reading with my own daughters!
